At the Annual General meeting held at Bubba Ray's

 - The financial statement was presented which showed the NSAWA in a much more stable situation as opposed to last year.

- Votes were taken on the 11 issues being put toward the CAWF Board of Directors. The following are the results of that vote.

1.  Are you in favour of cutting the Men's Open classes from 11 to 7 in right and left. The classes would be as follows: 63kg, 70kg, 77kg, 86kg, 95kg, 105kg, 105+kg

YES        

2. Are you in favour of cutting the Ladies' Open classes from 7 to 4 in right and left. The vast majority of ladies' classes have no more than 2 entries and many times have been empty.
The classes would be as follows: 60kg, 70kg, 80kg, 80+kg

YES         

3.. Are you in favour of cutting the Men's Grand Masters classes from 3 to 2 in right and left. The 90+ class has only ever had more than 1 person in it twice in the past 5 years.
The classes would be as follows: 80kg, 80+kg

4. Are you in favour of cutting the Men's Masters classes from 5 to 4 in right and left. The classes would be as follows: 80kg, 90kg, 100kg, 100+kg
The average entries the past 5 years for 10 classes is 36

YES       

5. Are you in favour of cutting the Ladies' Masters classes from 4 to 3 in right and left. The most entries we've had for Ladies' Masters is 13 total (right and left combined). There has never been more than 1 lady in the 60kg class and the left has been empty 4of the past 4 years.
The classes would be as follows: 70kg, 80kg, 80+kg

6. Are you in favour of Triple Elimination?

YES         

7. WAF has changed the rule for referees grip. You now only have 30 seconds to get a grip before Referee's Grip is applied. Should the CAWF do the same?

 YES        

8. WAF has changed the rule, whereby if both competitors agree to start in either straps, referees grip or both they may do so. Should the CAWF do the same?

YES       

9. Are you in favour of cutting the referees to 5 on Saturday (2 tables plus kids table with 1 ref). This would save the host $300.

YES         

10. Are you in favour of having referees and scorekeepers having to share rooms. Each person must share a room or only have 1 1/2 nights covered as opposed to 3.This would save the host approx $2000 - $2500 depending on hotel cost.

11.  Are you in favour of allowing "elbow bumps" whereby if a person's elbow lifts vertically off the pad without gaining an advantage. If the elbow comes off in the winning or losing position it is still a foul.
 
NO     

 
 - It was voted on and passed that the NSAWA wanted, if triple elimination was instituted, that the "C" side should be allowed to be allowed to face the "B" for a chance to win the class.

- It was passed that the BOTA be run at more competitions during the year. There will be 3 in 2014.
